Mga Kuwentong Mindanaw is still baking in the oven, and consists of finalist entries and winning entries to Global Cooling: First Mothers for Peace Singout and Songwriting Competition, and the annual Tunog Mindanao World Music Competition in Davao City. Songs were written by MEBUYAN members, and arranged and performed in collaboration with various Davao music artists.
Panaw is a dance-musicale conceived and directed by Geejay Arriola, written by Geejay Arriola and Malou Tiangco, and choreographed by Agnes Locsin. Produced by Mebuyan Peace Project, Inc. the theater production was performed at the Asian Women Director’s Theater Festival and Conference in New Delhi, Kolkata and Imphal, India, and at the Asia-Pacific Conference for Women in the Arts in Manila.
Madonna Brava is an adaptation of Bertolt Brecht’s Mother Courage by Don Pagusara. Produced and performed by Tanghalang Pilipino, and directed by Nestor Horfilla, the play’s season starts on September 18, 2009 at the CCP’s Tanghalang Batute.
